Nightmare init! Weather shouldnt really matter as some guys say, but it does. Cant stand riding dh in shit conditions!
Was looking a those black and gold demos, loads for sale in czech republic, so was gona take a trip. But ive managed to find someone who can get me 40% off a new bike, so im gona take that root. Dont think it will be a demo though, maybe a lapierre or nukeproof dh pro. But we'll see.

No offence, just my opinion. "how to make a beautiful bike look ugly" but then you might be a weapon, so looks dont matter.

Yes, its an sx trail. My sx trail that was stolen last Sunday from swansea, but its been recovered by the police today. Yes there are far better bikes out there, but this one is mine and i love riding it. For all those people who have had their bikes stolen, every cloud has a silver lining.

I agree that riding xc great distances is physically demanding. i take my hat off to you that you can better yourself at every opportunity. to smash that amount of time of your previous lap times takes some doing. it was probably the buzz and determination that pushed you and drove you on. Im not saying its a walk in the park, i juts think the elements of both riding styles are totaly different, and for me i find dh a much more demanding sport......maybe because im a fitness machine and i find distance easier than speed!!!

(Aug 18, 2011 at 4:17) (Below Threshold) show comment
To be honest i thought it would be pretty simple to adapt to dh, but it was and im still learning new shit now. Totally different types of riding styles techniques, regardless or not if uve handled a bike before. I found xc way easier. With dh, ur lines are different, ur handling of the bike, ur focus and attitude, ur style and not to mention the speeds ur travelling whilst engaging all these issues.
i watched the xc world cup on tv and i just found it slow and unexciting. Riding distances of 70k plus, doesnt appeal to me now, so in my mind i wouldnt even put them in the same class, even though they are both riding sports.

Im not a hatter of xc, just having seen both sides of the coin, i truly believe that xc is for softies and that anyone can do it, but not all can huck a dh trail.....especially on a xc bike.

Ive ridden xc for years.....not racing mind. I would like to say, that having taken up dh instead, i am now a fully transformed.

XC is for f*gGOTS!!!!!! Period! Only this evening i was shredding some berms when this guy dressed in spandex cycled past me cracking his xc loops. I can honestly say, in seeing him did in no way in hell give me the buzz to get back on my xc bike and ride!!!

The guy in the pic, get tougher rims bitch!!!!
